In the United States, there are plenty of cool cities to visit for a weekend getaway and here are just some of them.
Los Angeles
Los Angeles, California, is one of the most popular weekend getaways in the United States, and for good reason. In the City of Angels, there are so many things to do. If you prefer Los Angeles’ beach vibe, travel to Venice, Santa Monica, or Malibu for all the sand and sunshine you could want. Spend your time taking in the fresh sea breeze, browsing the stylish stores, and dining at delectable restaurants.

In Chicago, art lovers will discover a plethora of museums to visit, including the great Art Institute of Chicago, while baseball aficionados will appreciate seeing the Cubs play at Wrigley Field. For animal lovers and families, the Shedd Aquarium is a must-see (and for families, the American Girl Place is a must-see as well–it was the highlight of my first visit to Chicago many years ago!).
