Volaris Airlines Change Policy
Plans don’t always go as planned. Unforeseen and unplanned things happen and sometimes we are compelled to change what we have set out to do. In situations like this Volaris Airlines allow passengers to make changes in their reservation. It may be in terms of date, time, seats, baggage, name etc.
For those who are flying to/from the US, there is a 24 hours free change policy after reservation provided that the booking is done 7 days before departure. Till you fall under this time frame you can make necessary changes as per your need.
Passengers are allowed to make changes until 4 hours before departure for some selected routes.
All the other passengers have to pay a change fee for any changes made after confirmed Volaris Airlines Reservations. Additionally, the newly selected flight should be on the same route and same airport as the originally booked flight. There is no fixed change fee, the fee or penalty will depend upon the fare rules of the individual’s ticket. Passengers have to pay any change fee/penalty and fare difference if any in time of making change.
Volaris airlines also offers a same-day flight change service for its passengers and it stands valid up to 1 hour before original scheduled departure. So, please do remember to finish making all the necessary changes 1 hour before departure. However, this is only for short haul flight. Passengers of long haul flights do not get this same-day flight change service.
Cancellation Policy
Volaris airlines offer 24 hours free cancellation time after the reservation to passengers provided that it is 7 days or more before departure. In this case, there will be a refund made to you regardless of your fare type i.e., refundable or non-refundable.
If your scheduled flight is taking off within 24 hours of booking, you can make a cancellation and refund request 3 hours or more before departure to the airline.
If you cancel after 24 hours after confirming your Volaris Airlines Reservations, there will be a cancellation penalty charged to you. And if your booking is of refundable type, your remaining value of booking will be refunded to you after deducting the cancellation fee. However, if your booking is of non-refundable type, your value of the booking will be forfeited and you shall not get a refund. Passenger’s cancellation fee is not only determined by the fare rule/type but it is also determined by the date of departure, points of departure etc.
If passengers have to make cancellation due to extenuating circumstances like death in a family, medical issue, judicial order, government order etc., change fee may be waived off provided that the necessary documents in question are given by the passenger. So check the required document for Volaris Airlines Cancellation Policy before canceling your booking.
How To Change Your Volaris Airlines Flights
Steps to make change:
-Click on “My Trips” button
– Enter your confirmation number and your last name and click on continue
-Click on “Review/Modify”
-Choose new dates/flight, or
-Make the necessary changes as per your need
-Cross check your details and click on “continue” to save it
-Make a payment of change fee or fare difference if any
-You shall get a confirmation email or SMS of your changes made
How To Cancel Volaris Airlines Booking
Steps to cancel:
-Log in Volaris Airlines Official Site and go to “My Trip”/”My Booking”
-Enter your confirmation code and last name
-Select the booking which you wish to cancel
-Press on cancellation
-Reconfirm the cancellation from the pop –up message by clicking on “Yes”
-After your trip is cancelled, claim your refund if eligible
If you are eligible for refund, you will be refunded
