How to Make Emirates Reservations

You can book a flight by going to the Emirates Airlines Official Website or the app.

Steps to book:

-Choose whether you want a round/one way/multi-city trip

-Enter your origin and destination

-Choose the date on which you want to make your Emirates Reservations

-Add the number of passengers

-Choose the class you want to travel with from the dropdown

-Click on search flight

-Select the price and time from the given option

-After selecting the above, read your fare type policy and the baggage policy

-Click on “book” button next to the flight details you want

-Enter the passenger’s details and make your payment

-You will get a confirmation email of your booking.

If you are traveling with an infant, when booking online, you can request a bassinet in the Passenger Details section. Or you can contact the airline while or after booking to make a request.

Only one infant s allowed to be carried on the lap of an adult. If there are to be 2 infants with just an adult, you need to contact the airline. And please keep in mind that any person who is 2 years and above has to book a seat.

Emirates Ticket Change Policy

Emirates allows free changes for 24 hours after booking and if the departure is 7 days away regardless of your fare type i.e., refundable or non-refundable. Passengers are allowed to make changes in dates, time, meals, seats, origin, destinations, adding or removing stops, class, route,  etc. provided that it is under 24 hours free change period after booking. Otherwise, they are eligible to pay the changes fee as per the Emirates Flight Change Policy rules.

And passengers normally used to pay a change fee and not be eligible for a refund if they change after 24 hours of booking and it is less than 7 days before departure. However, with the COVID 19 pandemic, Emirates Ticket Change Policy has introduced much more flexibility.

Emirates is very generous when it comes to a flight changed or canceled by them if any the destination has travel restriction or mandatory quarantine policy, ravel warnings, stay-at-home orders, etc. You can change your Emirates Reservations ticket for free if:

Booking is made before 30 September 2020,

Your travel begins on or after 31 March 2021,

If your Emirates Airlines Booking is made after October 2020, you will not pay a change fee and you can choose a different destination.  However, to avoid paying any fare difference, your class/cabin must be available on your new flight.

Booking Made Before  31 March 2021

If your Emirates Reservations Booking is to depart on or before 31 March 2021, you have the options given under:

-To change your departure date to 24 months ahead without any change fee or fare difference.

-To change your destination to a different Emirates’ destination provided that they are in the same region.

You cannot change your Emirates Flight Booking class be it economy, business or first. The same regulations will apply to a new booking made until 30 September 2020.

The most crucial requirement is that your first segment on the ticket is for, on, or before 31 March 2021. And this deadline may be extended anytime by the airline in the future. Additionally, your ticket can be put on hold for up to 760 days after issuance. This will make your ticket valid to be changed or altered at a later point and even after 12 months, you can seek to get a full refund instead of flying.

Emirates give a voucher worth the price you paid for your booking. It will valid for 1 year and can be extended for 1 more year. Please note that after the first year, you can opt to receive its value as a refund.

Since 14 April 2020, Emirates has been offering full refunds regardless of the fare rules. Before this, Emirates did not entertain any request for a monetary refund. Those customers who have chosen to keep their tickets for a travel voucher are given a choice to apply for a refund with no penalty if they are unable to travel.Ticklet 

Steps to Change

-Go to the Emirates Airlines Official Website or app

-Log in with email and password

-Tap on “Manage Reservation”

-Enter confirmation code and last name

-Go to “Change Flight”

-Make the changes in your Emirates Reservations as per your need

-Save the change and pay change fee or fare difference if any

-You will get a confirmation email or SMS of the change you made

Steps to Cancel

-Go to the Emirates Airlines Official Site or app.

-Log in to your account with your credentials

-Press on “Manage booking”,

-Enter your confirmation code and last name

-Click on “Continue”

-Click on the provided link to cancel thereafter

-Select the Emirates Airlines Booking which you wish to cancel

-Press on cancell

-Reconfirm the cancellation from the pop–up message by clicking on “Yes”

-After your trip is canceled, claim your refund if eligible

As stated above, the weight concept works for the rest and the piece concept works for any travel to/from the Americas and from Africa.

Any travel from Africa and to/from the Americas will follow this:

Economy class-1 piece, 23 kg (2 pieces for Saver, Flex, FlexPlus.)

Business class-2 pieces, 32 kg each

First class-2 pieces, 32 kg each

Anything more than what is given as a maximum measurement would be regarded as an oversized and overweight bag and therefore will incur extra charge.

For any missing or delayed bags, please report them as soon as possible to the Emirates baggage counter in the airport from where you land. The airline will do their best to locate your bag and when it’s found, they will try to send it to your address but for any reason, if the airline cannot do so, you need to come and collect it from the airport.

Emirates Pet Policy

Animals will not be allowed to travel with the passenger in the cabin with the exception of Guide dogs and falcons. Other animals like dogs, cats, birds, etc. must travel as a checked bag if the travel is of less than 17 hours. If you want to travel with your pet must check the Emirates Pet Policy before your Emirates Reservations Booking.

Your pets must travel in a ventilated container and a valid health certificate is needed for them to travel. However, please do be mindful that birds are not allowed to travel from 1 May-30 September because of high humidity and heat.
