Fresno is a significant city in California’s San Joaquin Valley. It is the largest city in the broader Central Valley region and the county headquarters of Fresno County. Fresno was formed in 1872 as a Central Pacific Railroad station before being incorporated in 1885. It was named after the many ash trees that line the San Joaquin River. It has since grown into the economic heart of Fresno County and the San Joaquin Valley, with large-scale agricultural production dominating much of the surrounding territory in the Metropolitan Fresno region.
Over 190 kinds of wild and domestic animals, birds, amphibians, mammals, and reptiles can be found there. The African Adventure and Wilderness Fall, which houses African elephants, giraffes, gorillas, cheetahs, and more, is one of the Zoo’s newest and most popular attractions.
Baldassare Forestiere, a Sicilian immigrant, began developing these underground gardens in the early 1900s. He handcrafted the patios, grottos, and all of the delicate stonework. Forestiere created a genuinely unique maze of underground halls, corridors, and planters for numerous fruit-bearing trees after 40 years of subterranean toil.
It covers 300 acres and is packed with modern amenities, unusual stops along the road, and plenty of opportunities to take in magnificent scenery.
It hosts a variety of educational activities, workshops, and artist presentations in addition to art exhibitions. Throughout the year, visitors of all ages and experience levels can participate in a variety of art programmes.

Spring and autumn are the greatest periods to visit Fresno since they escape the winter cold, fog, and rain, as well as the summer heat.
