Sarah Winchester, the widow of Winchester Rifle magnate William Winchester, established the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose in 1884. Sarah built her house without the help of an architect because she believed it was haunted by individuals who had been killed by a Winchester rifle. As a result, there are several oddities in the structure, such as stairwells and doors that lead nowhere.

The Municipal Rose Garden has grown to become one of the city’s most popular attractions. Much of this five-acre park in the heart of a pleasant metropolitan neighborhood is defined by rows upon rows of roses, with peak blooming occurring during the month of May.

The Los Gatos Creek Trail is a 9.7-mile pedestrian and cycling trail that stretches across Los Gatos Creek in western Santa Clara County, California, from Lexington Reservoir in Los Gatos through Campbell and on to Meridian Avenue in San Jose. The trail is well-traveled.

Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph is a magnificent Roman Catholic church in downtown San Jose. This is the fifth iteration of the edifice, which stands on the site of prior basilicas that were destroyed by earthquakes or fire in the nineteenth century. Its architectural magnificence, both inside and out, attracts visitors.
