Long Beach

The Downtown Waterfront, which overlooks Queensway Bay, is a famous tourist destination. This pedestrian zone, which includes large-scale attractions such as the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Convention Center, is simply enjoyable to walk through and enjoy the seaside scenery. The Rainbow Harbor Esplanade connects the lighthouse-themed Shoreline Aquatic Park with Rainbow Harbor, which offers charter fishing expeditions, whale-watching tours, and private dinner cruises.

It is one of the largest and best institutions of its kind in the United States, with an incredible assortment of displays, habitats, and animals. Since its inception in 1998, the collection has grown to contain over 11,000 animals representing 500 distinct species.

The RMS Queen Mary, a once-vibrant British ocean liner, is now anchored near Long Beach and available for a range of interactive activities. Locals and visitors alike can stay in any of the ship’s staterooms, as the ship has been converted into a hotel!

The East Village Arts District adds a cultural dimension to the city that is worth exploring. Diverse housing designs, quirky cafes, antique apparel stores, and art galleries abound in this neighborhood. Hellada Gallery, The Liberty, and C Gallery Fine Art are among the most prominent galleries, although there are plenty more to discover.

The park, which is situated on the pacific rim, is popular with walkers, joggers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Bluff Park has free daily yoga, jogging routes, and telescopes for anyone who wants to look further into the horizon. The Lone Sailor, a bronze statue in the park overlooking the Pacific Ocean, pays honor to the United States Navy.

Catalina Island is a picture-perfect getaway from the mainland’s hustle and bustle. Within the Downtown Waterfront zone, near to the Aquarium of the Pacific, is a popular port for embarking on a pleasure cruise to Catalina Island.
