The number of films set in Miami has grown over the years, from the big screen to the little screen. Fontainebleau Miami Beach
The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is an American hotel located in Miami Beach, Florida. The premium hotel, designed by Morris Lapidus, first opened its doors in 1954. Fontainebleau Resorts owns the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, which is located on Collins Avenue.
The Fontainebleau Miami Beach is an opulent resort on Ocean Drive that was featured in the films “Scarface” (1983) and “The Bodyguard” (1985). (1992). Fontainebleau Miami, located on the seashore east of the city centre, provides a wonderful backdrop for film scenes and portrays the city’s vibrancy and culture.
The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, formerly known as Villa Vizcaya, is the former home and estate of James Deering, a merchant. The environment and architecture were designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture style, with Baroque components, and were influenced by Veneto and Tuscan Italian Renaissance models. The Vizcaya site is presently owned by Miami-Dade County and is home to the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, which is open to the public. The Vizcaya Station of the Miami Metrorail serves the area.
The palatial mansion and estate, located east of the city centre in Coconut Grove, features Italian Renaissance gardens, forest areas, and old outbuildings. In “Bad Boys II,” the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens served as Tapia’s home (2003). You may see where scenes from the movie were shot and admire the splendour of the 20th-century estate.
Lincoln Road Mall
Lincoln Road Mall is a pedestrian mall in Miami Beach, Florida, that runs east–west parallel between 16th and 17th Streets. Between Washington Avenue and a traffic-accessible street extending east to the Atlantic Ocean and west to Alton Road with a traffic-accessible street extending to Biscayne Bay, it presently accommodates a pedestrian mall full with shops, restaurants, galleries, and other enterprises.
Nathan Lane and the late Robin Williams wander through the open-air mall of Lincoln Road in the centre of Miami Beach during a scene in The Birdcage. While the film is full of Miami’s heart and soul (and nightlife), the scene in which Lane and Williams take a romantic stroll down Miami Beach’s most famous shopping boulevard is particularly memorable.
Versailles restaurant
Versailles restaurant is a historic eating place in Little Havana, Miami, located on Calle Ocho (8th St). The big restaurant, which has ornate etched glass and statuettes, seats 370 people and has a bakery, a takeout section, a counter window, and the ability to hold banquets and parties, has ornate etched glass and statuettes. Versailles is a renowned restaurant among local Cuban exiles and visitors for its Cuban cuisine and anti-Castro politics. It was founded by Felipe A. Valls Sr. in 1971.
The filming of “Chef” took place at Versailles Restaurant (2014). Jon Favreau’s character is inspired to come to Miami and create a food truck after eating a late-night Cuban sandwich at a restaurant.
Ocean Drive
Ocean Drive is a lovely street with palm trees and art deco buildings that was featured in scenes in both “Step Up Revolution” (2012) and “Dexterfirst ” (2006). The dance portions in the breakdance film stopped traffic on the street and caused a disruption for neighbours due to the loud music.
In “Scarface” (1983) the flat that featured the iconic chainsaw scene is now a CVS medicine store if you’re looking for it. However, markers identify the exact place where it was shot, including the stairwell outside Tony Montana’s flat. Across the street is the location where Al Pacino and his co-star Steven Bauer attempt and fail to pick up American ladies.
Ocean Drive iis a famous tourist destination where visitors can admire historic architecture and enjoy views of the shore from café terraces. The pastel-hued art deco structures are one of the main magnets for visitors and filmmakers.
Matheson Hammock Park
Matheson Hammock Park, located at 9610 Old Cutler Road in Coral Gables, Florida, is a 630-acre urban park in metropolitan Miami with an artificial atoll lake, ancient coral stone buildings, nature walks, and picnic pavilions. You’ll also discover boat launches, fishing stores, and other outdoor activity amenities. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s north and western ends are surrounded by the park.
Matheson Hammock Park, which was featured in the film “There’s Something About Mary,” is a picturesque park with a recreational pond and spectacular views of the bay (1998).
Bayside Marketplace
Bayside Marketplace is a two-story open-air shopping area in the heart of Miami’s downtown district. The land is surrounded on three sides by Biscayne Bay, with the City of Miami marina on the other. It is the number one most visited destination in Miami, according to the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau. Unlike traditional retail malls, Bayside provides an entertainment experience with daily live music, restaurants, bars, an open-container policy, family events, and the scenic waterfront location.
Miami Vice (1984-1990), a popular television show introduced people all over the world to Miami. Filming took place in Bayside and Mac’s Club Deuce, one of the oldest dive pubs in the heart of Miami Beach’s nightlife zone. The famous moments in the Bayside Marketplace and Club Deuce represent Miami culture in its purest iteration, despite the fact that Miami Vice takes place in a number of places throughout the city.
Hard Rock Stadium
Hard Rock Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium. The Hard Rock Stadium, located north of the city centre, is home to numerous additional teams, including the Miami Hurricanes football team and the Major League Baseball’s Florida Marlins. The Seven Mile Bridge
The Seven Mile Bridge is a bridge in Monroe County, Florida, that connects the Florida Keys to the mainland. Knight’s Key in the Middle Keys and Little Duck Key in the Lower Keys are connected by this bridge. In this site, there are two bridges. The contemporary bridge allows automobile traffic, while the older bridge is exclusively accessible to pedestrians and cyclists. The bridge can be reached south of the city centre to reach the Florida Keys. The beautiful views from the bridge make it a pleasant drive on its own, but you might want to consider taking a day trip to one of the Keys to sightsee and relax on the beach.
