Bahamas Air Types of Reservations
Bahamas Air provides two kinds of tickets refundable and non-refundable and as the name implies non-refundable tickets are not repayable and do not qualify for any refund under circumstances arising out of no show or cancellation by the customer. However, refundable tickets afford passengers refunds by the airline back to the original mode of payment if met with certain proper criteria.
Refunds are subjected under the following circumstance:
- Travel tickets that are wholly unused and for which slated travel date is within one year of the original issue date
- Tickets partially used, provided that travel is completed within one year from the outbound travel date on the original ticket and change fees apply.
- If flight reservation is not cancelled prior to scheduled departure time, rebooking is not permitted and the ticket shall have no value.
All refunds for credit card users will be refunded back to their credit cards within seven business days and payments made by cash, cheques or other forms for purchase of ticket will be refunded back through the original mode of payment within 20 business days by Bahamas Air.
Bahamas Air Booking, Changes and Rescheduling
Changes
Changes are permitted but new itinerary should be within one year from the date of original ticket issued. Differences in fares will be added along with change fees at the time of rebooking.
Changes for flight has to be made prior to the scheduled departure of the original ticket, otherwise no value remains and rebooking is not allowed
Rebooking
Rebooking requires the ticket to be properly cancelled prior to the original departure date or no value of the original ticket will remain.

- Original unused flight coupons for paper tickets

Most visitors traveling with Bahamas Air do not need special vaccinations. However, travelers over the age of one must present a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate if they have recently visited or transited through the following countries:

Passengers traveling exclusively by cruise ship do not need a Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate.

Bahamas Air Baggage Policy
Aboard Bahamas Air all passengers are allowed one personal and one carry-on bag on all international and domestic flights excluding Long Island, Acklins, Crooked Island, Mayaguana and Inagua).
Bags should not exceed a maximum size of 22″ x 14″ x 9″ & 30 lbs (13.6 kg) while Long Island, Acklins, Crooked Island, Mayaguana and Inagua flights only allows a maximum weight of 18 lbs (8.16 kg) for one carry-on bag.

Sport Equipment and other Baggage
- BICYCLE: $125/cycle. Bicycles should be safely stored in a hard-sided, padded case. If not in a hard-sided case, bikes will be accepted with the handle bars secured sideways and pedals removed. The bicycle must also be encased in plastic foam, a cardboard box, or similar material to prevent damage.
- SURFBOARD: Will be treated as a checked bag but should be below 8 feet in height and not weight more than 99lbs or 44.9 kg. Using a hard case to store the board is recommended to prevent damage to the board.
