1.Etihad Airways has launched EXPONENTIAL ABU DHABI with complimentary tickets for Expo 2020 for all the guests!

– Any guest travelling in or via Abu Dhabi via Etihad is getting a complimentary ticket for 

Expo 2020 which is taking place from 1st October 2021 to 31st March 2022. 

2.COVID GUIDELINES: 

Domestic Travel During COVID-19 

-Physical distancing at the airport

– Physical distancing is required at the airport, and during boarding. Check in beforehand online to avoid contact. 

-Wear face coverings

– Face coverings or masks are a necessity. The airlines also have face masks available. 

-Food and beverages onboard

– You are requested to continue wearing a face mask or covering while not drinking water. 

-Air and ground cleanliness

– The airlines ensure to clean high touch surfaces regularly, along with the aircraft, airports and lounges. Hand sanitizer is also available readily. 

-Valet and Lounges

– All the valet and lounges under Etihad Airways are open.

HAVE MISHANDLED BAGGAGE?
Here’s what to do For Delayed Baggage:

In case your baggage is mishandled, here’s what Etihad Airways suggests – 

Check the status of the baggage 24/7 with the online baggage tracing service Etihad provides. Do note that you will need the airline file reference number that’s provided to you at the time you report your bag missing on arrival. 

For international flights, that also may include connecting domestic flights, Etihad Airways ask you to email or phone the relevant baggage services office with your file reference and name. Keep the mishandled baggage report that you will receive from the baggage services office on you. 

While Etihad track your delayed baggage, they request you to submit a claim that would cover the price of essential items, and to do that within 21 days. If not returned within 21 days, your baggage will be claimed as lost. 

Keep the receipts for emergency or replacement items that you receive. 

Keep the airline ticket, baggage receipts and excess baggage coupons you receive. 

 

For Damaged Baggage: 

If during your journey, your baggage has become damaged, Etihad will help you fix it right away! 

Here’s how Etihad suggests you to go about it: 

1.Report: They request you to report the baggage that is damaged at the arrival before you get out of the airport. They will provide you with a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) along with a letter that explains the damage done. You are requested to submit a claim well within 7 days of receiving the baggage. 

2.Repair: Once you have reported your baggage that is damaged, please take it to the company of your choice to repair it. Kindly keep a copy of the receipt that proves the cost of the repair as you will be needing that when you submit your claim. 

3.Submit: To submit your claim, you will be required to upload your letter with the receipt that is showing the cost of your repair, and Etihad will be contacting you to handle the claim.

You will also need your Property Irregularity Report (PIR) number. 

 

As soon as Etihad Airways locate your baggage, they will contact you, deal with all the customs and necessary quarantine regulations, and deliver it to the address given. 

They also allow you to receive daily updates via SMS and/or email. Kindly ensure that all the baggage services staff have your correct and accurate contact details such as phone number and/or email address. In case of any change in the contact details, immediately update them.

 

THEIR CABINS

Etihad offers Economy, First class, and Business class. 

Economy: 

Etihad Airways let you choose your preferred seat according to your own comfort, with big blankets and lots of space! There is on-demand entertainment available, with allowance for you to revel in complimentary foods and drinks on each flight.

You’re also allowed to stream using mobile connectivity and stay updated with live television shows. 

First: 

A place designed for your own personal time and space. You can step into your own personal private suite, and relax with a glass of any drink or let Etihad fix up your bed for you to have a good night’s sleep!

You can choose how and when you’d prefer to dine with an intensive a la carte menu with a boutique wine list. 

Business:  

When flying business with Etihad Airways, it’s time for an adventure as unique as you are! When it’s time to retire to your seat, recline it to a fully flat bed. 

And if you’re hungry, you can always choose what you want to eat from Etihad’s broad a la carte menu. 

CHILDREN TRAVELLING ALONE (UNACCOMPANIED MINOR)

Etihad Airways take extra precautions for youngsters flying alone to ensure a safe and enjoyable flight for them – and complete piece of mind for their parents.

Children between the ages of 5 and 17 can use their Unaccompanied Minor service. First and foremost, you must schedule your child’s flight before requesting the service. 

What is your child's age?

0 to 4 years old – It is not permissible for children under the age of five to fly alone. They must always travel with a parent or guardian.

5 to 11 years old – Our Unaccompanied Minor programme is free for children aged 5 to 11. They must travel on a regular adult fare. 12 to 17 years old – Children between the ages of 12 and 17 are allowed to travel on their own adult ticket, however you may want to pay for our Unaccompanied Minor service. 

Unaccompanied Minors are not authorised to be escorted by guests aged 12 to 17. Legal parents under the age of 18 will be allowed to accompany their children or babies with proper identification. 

How to Make a Reservation:

  1. Make a reservation for your child’s flight.
  2. Submit an Unaccompanied Minor service request form in English. We’ll validate your request within 24 hours and ask for payment for children aged 12 to 17 – it costs $100 each way on direct flights and $150 each way on connecting flights.
  1. Take the completed request form to the airport with you after printing and signing it.
  2. You can also make a reservation or get additional information by calling our contact centre. 

You must submit a new Unaccompanied Minor service request if your child’s flight is changed. Make sure you do this at least 24 hours before your child’s departure; if you request the service at the airport, you may be charged.

Only if you change from a direct trip to a connecting flight will you be asked to pay again for children aged 12 to 17.

TRAVELLING WITH PETS? HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Pets are not permitted in the cabins of Etihad Airways’ Aircrafts. Pets, horses, and other animals can be transported safely by the Etihad Cargo staff. 

Service Animals/Animals that provide assistance

As part of your checked luggage allowance, guide dogs and assistance animals are allowed in the cargo hold for free. All other animals must be shipped as manifested cargo. Regulations may differ.
