WHAT’S NEW

Virgin Atlantic is extending the flying club membership from 6 months to 24 months due to COVID 19 Pandemic giving more time to loyal customers to

Baggage allowance for Economy

All Virgin Atlantic passengers are allotted free hand baggage with the exception of those travelling in economy light. There are certain things to keep in
mind while carrying baggage such as :
-Passengers travelling with company cannot combine luggages as it will not fit the standard norm; so make sure to bring separate luggage
-Passengers whose ticket does not start with VS need to contact partner airlines and connecting flight sections.
-Passengers travelling with economy light can buy additional check in baggage if needed while flying
Baggage allowance for children
-Baggage allowance remains the same as the above for children and seated babies.
-For infants that do not need a seat the allowance is 1x23kg (50lb) except for economy light.
-Passengers travelling with babies can also bring in collapsible seats or car seats along with the free check in allowance.
Musical instruments
-Musical instruments that cannot be fitted into the hand baggage can be carried inside as check in baggage or paid extra.
Sports instruments
-If the equipment fits into the standard size of the airlines, it can be carried free of charge otherwise passengers will need to pay for extra weight or
extra luggage.
Extra Bags
-Extra bags are allotted as long as passengers arrange this before flying and pay extra.
Oversized Bags
- Travellers carrying baggage bigger than the airline’s standard dimension 90x75x43cm (35.5×29.5x16inch) need to pay extra at the check in desk where
a staff will arrange the necessary
-Baggage bigger than 190x75x65cm (75×29.5×25.5inch) can be flown in as cargo after contacting the freight forwarder with extra charges.
Baggage allowance with Partner flights and Connecting flights
-Passengers travelling to and from US with ticket no. starting as VS can check in with the baggages policy of the Virgin Atlantic Airways otherwise the
Baggage policy of the connecting Airway may apply
-Passengers to or from destinations besides the US should check in to the baggage policy of the Airlines which have codeshare agreements with
Virgin Atlantic Airways .

DIFFERENT CLASS OF THE AIRLINES

Virgin Atlantic Airways offer three main classes for the convenience and attainability of the customers on the following basis
1. For Economy Cabins, amazing services, delicious food and entertainment are provided. Customers flying economy classic and delight are free to
choose any seats during boarding except for economy lights where seats are allotted during check ins.
2.For Premium Cabins, passengers can enjoy comfy premium seats any time with lots of space to stretch along with spectacular services and mouth
watering food.
3.For Upper Cabins, the Airlines provide top-notch service from the start to finish with comfortable beds and personal space to enjoy a cosy ride.

CHILDREN AND BABIES POLICY

For Unaccompanied children
-In order to prevent frequent contact of the crew members with the customers as part of the social distancing norms due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the
Airlines have suspended the travelling allowance of children from age 0-12 years without company.
- This is to maintain the safety and health of the children.
For children with company
-Children from 0-12 years can be accompanied and seated next to adults 16 years and above.
-The Airlines offer exciting kid meals and entertainment for the comfortable travel of your child and you can check this out in the children section.
For Travellers with babies
- The baby must be at least 48 days old and healthy.
-There are Baby Friendly cabin crew members to assist and help you all throughout the journey.
-The Airlines have inbuilt cots and changing facilities.
-For Mothers breastfeeding in flight, there is no policy against such and the airlines can provide extra blankets or seats in the gallery if needed.
-The Cabin Crew members can also help you to warm your milk or keep them in an ice bucket to keep it cool for later use.

VIRGIN ATLANTIC AIRWAYS SPECIAL ASSISTANCE

Passengers in need of special assistance may contact the airlines 48 hours before the flight so as to prepare for the specific requirements. To ensure
safe and comfortable journey Virgin Atlantic Airways have establish certains measures while flying with them viz :
-The Airlines have made sure that the wheelchairs used while onboarding are thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant and proved to be effective against viruses.
- Customers are requested to put on face masks at all times except for those with medical conditions.
-Priority is given to passengers who require extra boarding time or assistance.
-Special Arrangements like check in priority, pre or late boarding, pre seat assignments and other requirements are given to our customers with hidden
disabilities such as autism,severe anxiety or dementia.
1. For customers flying with special medical conditions, the airlines may need a certificate from your doctor and willingly provide escort assistance,
supplementary oxygen and other fitness criteria as cited by the World Health Organization(WHO) subject to additional charges.
2. For customers with contagious diseases whose symptoms are seen days before flying, make sure to contact special assistance after which the airlines
will provide necessary procedures.

PET POLICY

Virgin Atlantic has restricted the travelling of pets till 2022 due to the
covid 19 pandemic. However for those in requirements of assistance from
pets while travelling, it can be permissible under strict agreements as
follows:
-The pet must be fully vaccinated and proclaimed safe by a veterinarian
-Passengers are liable to repay any loss, fines, charges incurred by the airlines
-The Airline is not responsible for any sickness, injury or fatality of the pet.

REFUND POLICY

(A) For Refundable tickets
-Tickets bought at discount may partly or fully be refundable on cancellation.
- If passengers have no use of the refundable tickets, the airlines will refund the amount including all the various charges like carrier charges, taxes
and surcharges.
-If passengers have used part of the refundable tickets, the airlines will refund the fare difference and any extra charges imposed related to the part of
the unused ticket.
(B)For Non Refundable Tickets
-Make sure to take travel insurance in case cancellation is required.
-Unused non refundable ticket holders can still apply for refunds from taxes, fees and charges taken by government, government scheme costs, etc.
-The airlines can refund the unused portion of non refundable tickets if passengers are eligible for a refund under regulation 261/2004.
-The airlines will make a full refund without levying any administration charges for any non refundable tickets in the event of the demise of the passenger
before the flight.
