Le Air

Established in 1996 Le Air is a fully Bahamian owned and operated airline based in Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport. Le Air currently flies both Charter and Schedule flights and has currently in fleet Cessna 402 and Bandit EMB-110s. Le air prioritizes safety and always keeps their planes professionally serviced and maintained.

Le Air Chartered Flights

Le Air has flown charter flight since its inception in 1996 and is currently based off of the Nassau International Airport. The current fleet that Le Air maintains for their charter flights include Piper Aztec F-Models, Cessna 402-C and EMB-110s. 

All crafts offer spacious leg room and windows to enjoy the view. Le Air Ticket Policy

Tickets purchased from Le Air for travel are final and all purchases whether made online, over the phone or in person are not transferrable and non-refundable and is valid for one year after the date of purchase.

All necessary changes to a flight has to be made within 48 hours of purchase of ticket and will incur an additional change fee.

In case of delays or cancellations of a flight or connecting flight, passengers will be placed on the available flight. Even under such circumstances tickets will remain non-refundable and non-transferable.

Check in

Flights with Le Air are all closed for boarding 30 minutes before the scheduled flight departure. Passengers are advised to reach the airport at least one and half hours before the scheduled departure of the flight to ensure safe and timely boarding of the flight.

For confirmed tickets, passengers are advised to book their tickets at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the flight to ensure availability of seats.

Le Air Baggage Policy

All passengers flying with Le Air are allowed 1 check-in baggage free of cost that does not exceed 40lbs and within a size limit of 62’’ of length, breadth and height. An additional $1 per pound shall be chargeable if the weight of the bag exceeds 40lbs.

All passengers are allowed to carry with them a carry-on baggage that could include either a small briefcase, laptop bag, purse, camera bag etc. that can be carried with them personally.

Collapsible wheelchairs are also allowed but subject to first come-first serve basis/

Collapsible strollers or any Govt. approved car seats are also allowed and should be stowed away properly when not in use.

  • Le Air will assume liability of loss, delay and damage of luggage of upto $200 only, unless declared in advance with additional charges paid.
  • Le Air will only be liable to pay for the contents of the bag and not the bag itself.
  • Le Air will not assume any responsibility of liability for fragile, valuable or perishable items of the customer.
  • Items confiscated by airport security are not Le Air’s responsibility for return.

Le Air Identity Documents

  • Passengers flying with Le Air are advised to have a valid government issued ID card or passport on them at all times.
  • Pets for travel are required to be securely kept in a hard cage and will be charged $40 for the same.

Delays and Cancellations

In case of cancellation or delay of flights, Le Air will deal with passengers holding confirmed tickets on an individual basis. All passengers will be moved to the next available flight as soon as possible or receive a limited compensation based on the customer’s situation.

Le Air assumes no responsibility for factors beyond the airline’s control.

Travel Tips and Advice

  • Travel as lightly as possible.
  • Label all your luggage properly with name and contact information.
  • For safety purposes, passengers are advised not to travel with compressed gas, corrosives, explosives, flammable liquids and solids, radioactive materials, oxidising materials, poisons, infectious substances, and briefcases with installed alarm devices. Pressurized Spray Cans, Bleach, Liquid Detergent, Fireworks, Batteries, Lighters with Fluid, Alcoholic Beverages of 70% alcohol by volume or more than 140 proof, Loaded Firearms and Dry Ice in airtight packages
  • Passengers travelling with weapons must make sure that they are properly stored in a case in checked luggage and not loaded.
  • Passengers under no circumstances will not be allowed to board with a firearm.
  • Knives or objects with sharp edges have to packed safely and included in checked baggage.
  • For all weapons being carried by the passengers, he/she must possess all legal and necessary permits for the weapon.
