Check in

Airports in the Caribbean are open for check-in about 2.5 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. This is done is order to give passengers and the airlines time to make properly preparations of information submission and baggage acceptance and approval. A minimum time of:

– At least 30 minutes’ prior check-in before the scheduled flight departure is required for DOMESTIC FLIGHTS.

At least 6O minutes’ prior check-in before the scheduled flight departure is required for INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS.

Baggage Policy

Carry on

Here at Inter Caribbean airways each passenger is allowed to carry a cabin baggage (one piece) that does not exceed 10 pounds and are under the dimension of 9-inches height, 12 inches of width and length of 16 inches.

Free Checked-in Bags

Some class fares offer Free Checked Baggage and also discounts on 2 pre-paid checked baggage. To make sure you have the benefit of bringing free checked baggage make sure to check your fares and see if your fare offers such benefit.

Excess Checked-in Bags

Checked baggage when the exceed the stipulated weight and physical dimensions are not guaranteed of acceptance for travel by the company. Acceptance of overweight or oversized baggage will cost a surcharge. Any baggage above 70 pounds will not be accepted as checked baggage.

It is advised not to pack valuables, keys, medications, cell phones, money into your checked baggage.

Passengers are requested to declare any perishable good being sent as checked baggage. Baggage should not leak. Passengers are only permitted to carry a limited quantity of 2.5kgs or 5 lbs of dry ice.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy (UMNR)

Unaccompanied minors between the age of 5 to 11 are accepted with proof of age required. Make sure to specify at booking that the reservation is for an unaccompanied minor. Unaccompanied minors are required to reach the Departure gate at least 45 minutes prior to the scheduled departure and the party dropping the minor should be available at the airport until the flight departs.

Both dropping and receiving parties are required to obtain an “Escort Pass” which will require a verification process and the receiving party are required to produce positive identification and sign a release form for the unaccompanied minor.

Kinds and Infant Policy

As a kid-friendly airline Inter Caribbean allows one infant over 14 days and below two years of age without occupying a seat to travel with a passenger 12 years of age or older. Boarding passes will not be required for the infant but a Boarding Verification Document will be necessary.

Parents who wish to use a car-seat for their children are required to purchase a Child Fare and must only be an FAA approved car seat. A boarding pass shall be required and a birth certificate should be provided to verify the infant’s age.

 

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed to travel aboard Inter Caribbean and for a safe and comfortable journey it is necessary that the pets meet the following criteria:

– Pets travelling in cabins must throughout the flight be kept in their soft sided carrier at all times.

– Pets should not exceed 15lbs of weight.

– The pet should be able to sit, stand and turn around.

– The carrier should be waterproof.

The animal is required to have proper vaccination records and documents.
